MAASAI STREET STYLE
I really had to rub my eyes when I saw three Maasai warriors strutting down Sixth Avenue in Manhattan the other day with their spears, home made sandals and more jewelry wrapped around their elegant, slender limbs than a drag queen. Talk about brow raising street style.
Turns out it was Samson, Parashi, and Sunte who had just flown in from Kenya. They were the house guests of actor Ed Norton who lives in Greenwich Village. According to New York Magazine Norton brought them over to run in the New York Marathon to help raise awareness for a charity called Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust that protects biodiversity on tribal lands in east Africa.
